Pattern for Red and White Scarf
I used a 5mm crochet hook and two skeins (around 230 yards each) of a worsted and Aran yarn.
Chain multiples of two till you get 175cms (for a medium scarf). For me this was about 240 chains. You can add more for a longer scarf.
Row 1
Ch3, YO, insert hook into 4th ch and pull up a loop. Now you have 3 loops on the hook. Pull the third loop through just the second loop on the hook. Now you have 2 loops on the hook.
YO insert hook into same stitch, pull up a loop. Now you have 4 loops on the hook. Pull the last loop through all the other three loops on the hook. Now you have a bamboo stitch.
Ch1 SK 1, YO insert hook into next ch and pull up a loop. Now you have 3 loops on the hook. Pull the third loop through the second loop only. Now you have 2 loops left on the hook.
Insert into same stitch, pull up a loop. Now you have 4 loops on the hook. Pull up the 4th loop through the remaining 3 loops.
Repeat across the length of the scarf.
Row 2
Ch2, make bamboo stitch in first ch sp from previous row (not in the bamboo stitch). Ch 1 and repeat.
Continue till you have the width you want. I made 16 rows.
IMPORTANT: From Row 2 onwards make sure to make bamboo stitch in ch sp from previous row and not in the bamboo stitch.
Weave in the ends.
I had some yarn left over so I added the tassles.

Happy Crocheting!
